These records are part of Office of the Second Auditor. Public Debt: Coupon Bond Account Registers. These records contain a register of century bonds which were not to be redeemed for one hundred years after July 1, 1891. The records list the number and amount of coupon per denomination: $20, $15, $10, $7.50, $3, and $1.50. The fourth volume also contains state highway system certificates of indebtedness, act of March 15, 1926. Volumes cover the period from January 2, 1924 to February 1, 1927.

An act of the General Assembly approved March 23, 1839, provided for additional capital for the James River and Kanawha Company.
